Fighting educational inequality, one book at a time.

Only 41% of Indonesian adolescents graduate senior high school.

Bookdrives.id is a non-profit organization that collects and donates secondhand books to low-income schools in Indonesia. We believe in three guiding principles: improving literacy skills, promoting green storytelling, and cultivating a love for reading.

What do we do?

We collect and donate secondhand books to low-income communities across the country.

We work with schools and orphanages involved in the Yayasan Panah Nusantara network, a government-registered non-profit organization that supports over twenty child-centered national institutions. Our events primarily consist of community visits, during which we engage children in reading and writing activities and present teachers with their new storybooks.

At the moment, we are expanding our operations to prioritize deeper connections with our students while simultaneously aiming to foster wider partnerships with local communities.
